Letters From Abroad!

Hey Theta gals!

Study abroad is the most amazing experience I have ever had in my life. I am currently in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and we are making our way towards Manaus, Brazil. In the past two months, I have been in 4 different continents, 11 different countries, and have seen over 30 different cities. I cannot believe all that I have seen and done in such a short period of time. With each country, I have learned something different about myself. I could probably type for over an hour and not be able to explain it all, so instead I attached a few of my favorite pictures.

When you go abroad, you realize how small the world is. There are 15 Thetas on the ship from all different Universities, some including UCLA, UVA, USD, and Syracuse. Don't worry, I took a lot of kite pictures with some of them and swapped a few Theta shirts!

I feel like it was just yesterday I was freaking out about living on a ship for 3 months, but in reality, I only have 13 more days on this incredible journey. It is going to be bittersweet to come back to Chapman. I am excited to be back with all you ladies and I am excited to meet all of the wonderful new members, but I am also sad to close this chapter of my life.

Letters From Abroad

Theta sisters travel the world and keep us updated on their adventures!

Hello to all of my beautiful Theta Sisters!! My time abroad has been nothing short of amazing! I have fallen in love with Italy and cannot even believe that I only have one more month here in Florence. Here in Florence, I am an Art History intern tour guide at the Basilica of San Lorenzo. I give free-guided tours in English to visitors and it counts for class credit! I love to wander around the city and I spend any free time visiting museums, where I have seen some of the most amazing pieces of artwork! I am an Art History Major so it is my favorite part about living in the birthplace of the Renaissance. The best part of studying abroad is traveling!! Through language barriers, differences in cultures, and exploring unique places, I have learned so much about Europe and about myself. Living in a foreign country, although stressful and confusing at times, has been the greatest life-changing adventure and I cannot wait to see where it takes me next! I will be leaving Florence in December, having met life-long friends and falling in love with the charm and history of Europe. I cannot wait to see you all next semester at Chapman!

Theta Love,

Hannah Brockway
